Re: Mac OS 12.7.5 and QCad pro version 3.29.6 for 10.7-10.8
Hi, and welcome to the QCAD forum. I am not a MAC user but maybe you need to grant some permissions somehow. A simple Google search reveiled: https://www.macinstruct.com/tutorials/how-to-set-file-permissions-on-a-mac/ Or maybe it is your Anti Virus that needs an exception .... I don't think that the...

Re: How do I make a fixed dash line?
For the record ... How do I make a dash line that doesn't change base the thickness of the zoom I am viewing it at. The displayed weight and type (width and dash/space) will only be dynamical when using Screen-based Linetypes ( NL ). If you clear that option then the line-art is displayed 'As is' .....

Re: How do I make a fixed dash line?
Hi, First, in CAD there are but a limited and fixed Lineweights from 0.00mm up to 2.11mm and these don't scale with paper scale. It are the historic pen sizes from the time we drew directly with ink on paper. This line-art uses round ends ... As if a round pen It is possible to have polylines with a...

Regarde ...

Re: Polyline edit functions
Hi, OC ( polylinefromselection.js ) and OR ( polylinestart.js ) are QCAD Pro features. See: https://www.ribbonsoft.com/en/documentation/features ... Both are proprietary code. Not open source (https://github.com/qcad/qcad) and only present as compiled in a QCAD Pro installation. The differences betw...

Re: Feature Request: Mapping of DXF Layers to Toolpath/Tool List
Yep, yesterday the movie alone didn't tell me much. There are 2 major approaches in CAM: - A: Z-zero is equal to the top of the machine bed. - B: Z-zero is equal to the top of the material. Both have their specific Cons and Pros. For QCAD/CAM Z-zero is the top of your material ... Approach B....

Re: Text along polyline
:) It is just the polyline to insert text That is what I meant with ' probably a minor one '. You are right that an offset to any base shape can be treated as a polyline. Meaning that 'Text Along' can be upgraded to: Line, Arc, Circle, Ellipse , Poly and Spline entities. This is basically how FlexP...

Re: Text along polyline
For the moment it looks more like 'Text over Polyline' but that is probably a minor one. :P I think you need to account for Arc orientation ... Reversed or not. And that together with the overall orientation that the text must have. Top example starts at the right, the first Arc segment is then CW, ...

Re: QCAD on Ubuntu 22.04.1 crashes
@j22,
Version 3.24.3 is over 4 years old.
I don't think that there is still support for that.
You could renew your licence and update to the latest version.
On your personal download page (Or on the trial page) scroll further down beyond 'All Downloads'.

Re: Optimise by flipping direction when several passes are required
Yes, perhaps true but not entirely, it is called a profile for something. This comes from Profile-milling or Side-milling. Mostly reducing stock material to some defined external profile and/or enlarging voids to an inner profile. The initial inner cut is Slot-milling and kept to a bare minimum beca...

Re: command line
We need to add that the debugger mode is not always a stable environment. In the end you need to test your Addon in normal mode too. Include -always-load-scripts and you are able to test the Addon further without reloading QCAD each time. Until you introduce a bug and then you probably need to fall ...
