Re-measuring

Post by Krischu » Thu Feb 05, 2026 5:36 pm

Given the drawing in

https://www.qcad.org/rsforum/viewtopic. ... 733#p49731

When I change the diameter of the inner circle from 32.5 to 32.4 mm, can I make the measure change automatically and follow the change from 32.5 to 32.4? Or do I have to delete the old measure and apply a new one?

No,
Under QCAD there is no relation between entities.

And thus no relation between a Circle entity and a Diametric Dimension entity.

Nonetheless when applying measures, the measure is taken from the properties of the measured object, so there is a one way relation.

True, you take a measurement and the result of that is used.
This doesn't mean that there is a lasting relation afterwards.

Such is not supported by QCAD.
