Hi, I bought the Pro edition over a year ago, and now I'm trying to download it on my new laptop and I can't. Is there any way to continue my set up or can I get it for free? I just use it a couple of times a year as a hobby. could you advise, please?

sounds like you don't have a backup. Correct?
Option 1:
Renew your license sweetened with a 30% rebate (my recommendation!):

Option 2: If you are on a Windows OS copy the Qcad Folder tree from the old Maschine and save it to the new Maschine. Then create a shortcut to qcad.exe.

Thanks for the replies, I'm running qcad in Mangaro Linux, I could get the qcad root folder and copy it to the new machine, I just don't know if that would make it boot.
