Just downloaded Version 3.29.0
Using Win 11
Now have annoying partially obscuring floating hatch pattern covering pointer position.

I hope this isn't your cursor being malformed.
Are you using system cursors or not?
See menu Edit .. Application Preferences .. Graphics View .. Appearance .. Cursor
You can always try to reset your configuration:
https://qcad.org/en/tutorial-resetting- ... figuration
Remind that this will reset all your QCAD customization's and tool options.
I can not find references about your previous problem, this is your first posting under user 'Andrepr'.

Wasn't using system cursors... Changed and seems fine now.

This should not be an issue.
It is more a general preference in the nature of "I like to use my system cursors"
Something has changed recently:
