[solved] white font on menus - unreadable
when I got initially the app the font on the menus was not white, now it is and I don't know how it happened, hence how to reverse it. How can i change it to be readable?

Re: white font on menus - unreadable
Hi, and welcome to the QCAD forum.
Looks a lot like:
https://www.qcad.org/rsforum/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=9941
Switching to the operating system's dark mode and back to light mode solved that.
Resetting the QCAD configuration did not help and that is rather intended as a last resort.
Regards,
CVH

Re: white font on menus - unreadable
QCAD Pro 3.24.3 was released in March 2020 and tested on macOS Catalina 10.15.
macOS Monterey 12.5.1 was released in August 2022.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to guarantee that an older version of a software keeps working on newer operating systems.
I will send you an e-mail with an update code in case you want to update to the latest QCAD version.

Re: white font on menus - unreadable
So....is there any solution? Upgrading? Will that fix it?
Thanks
Thanks
Re: white font on menus - unreadable
According to Andrew's statement, yes.
Work smart, not hard: QCad Pro
Win10/64, QcadPro, QcadCam version: Current.
If a thread is considered as "solved" please change the title of the first post to "[solved] Title..."

Re: white font on menus - unreadable
well... I paid for the upgrade, downloaded it (as you say and the web page also says that my version - 12.5.1 - would be OK ) and this is what my system says about it: that I have to have system 13.0 or later.
I would like to hear your comments.

Re: white font on menus - unreadable
Thanks for letting us know. We will try to reproduce the problem here and hopefully have a solution for you soon.
Re: white font on menus - unreadable
We were able to reproduce the problem and have re-packaged the release for macOS 12.
Please re-download the installer for:
"QCAD Professional 3.29.2 (f) for macOS Qt 6 11.x, 12.x, 13.x, 14.x arm64 (M1/M2/M3, NOT for Intel Macs!)"
Please report back and let us know if that fixes the issue.

Re: white font on menus - unreadable
Andrew...nope! Downloaded it (after ereasing every thing old)...reinstalled it...and the same message as before: QCAD 3.29 not compatible with MacOS 12.5.1
I thought that happened because I tried from a page (for downloads) that was not renewed (the one I got originally after paying the upgrading), so I renewed it and the now the page does not show the download tab !!!
So, maybe if I can get to the page that shows the "fixed tab"...if you tell me how to go about it.
Thanks

Re: white font on menus - unreadable
Hi,
You mention: "QCAD 3.29 not compatible with MacOS 12.5.1"
I would expect a message concerning QCAD 3.29.2 here.
Guessing that you re-installed 3.29.0
As stated in gray, you need to expand the folder with the QCAD 3.29.2 release for your OS.
A summary of changes and/or fixed bugs can be found here:

The screen that you present is the main personal download page with folders and a few text files, one folder per OS type.

Re: white font on menus - unreadable
Sorry, my mistake for not opening the folder that has the tabs.
I downloaded it but still it tells me is not compatible with my system, this time telling me that "needs 12.7 or later" while before it said "13.0 or later".
Perhaps if the programmers tweak it a bit more it will go down to 12.5 !?
Thanks for all the help and patience.

Re: white font on menus - unreadable
Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be possible to downgrade macOS to that version as Apple simply does not provide that download anymore. We were able to downgrade to 12 which gave us the latest 12.x version which is 12.7.
Is there any chance you could update your macOS to at least 12.7? Otherwise I'm happy to issue a refund for your update as we cannot support your platform anymore. Just let me know.
Re: white font on menus - unreadable
Let me try and I let you know. Perhaps it will take few days because I am busy.
I appreciate your attention.

Re: white font on menus - unreadable
Resolved!!!
After having to jump through many hoops to be able to install a newer version of the OS, now all is OK.
MANY THANKS to all that participated.
